![]() ![]() So, I would approve if you could post the release announcement immediately, even with an additional note, so that everyone who receives a notification can easily and immediately know what’s new :-). I fully agree that it is always problematic to get a browser notification that an update is available and not having a description of that update! And not everyone is using the Chrome Web Store: if I’m not using a Chromium-based browser (I personally use Waterfox as my primary browser), I don’t understand why I should wait for Google’s review to know what’s new in the new ABP release. I also asked myself the same question about this gap between the notification of a new version and its release announcement. That way we could publish the announcements as soon as possible without causing any confusion due to some people not getting the update yet. Therefore what I’d imagine we could do is publish the release announcement immediately but with an added note while the update is not available on all platforms. Those reviews can take multiple days or even weeks for each update. Lately, however, we’ve been seeing significant delays on the Chrome Web Store due to them reviewing every single update. As far as I’m aware of, we’ve always waited until the update is available across all major platforms before publishing the release announcement.
